Explicit units. Clear assumptions. Local conversion · no uploads
Use a decimal, or minutes:SS in Clock input when the source is a pace unit.
Display rounding only. Exact calculated values remain in the details.

Pace is time per distance; speed is distance per time. Clock input means minutes:seconds for the selected distance. Zero speed has no finite pace.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use Pace / Speed Converter

  1. Choose source and target units. For pace input, choose decimal units or minutes:seconds.
  2. Enter a nonnegative speed or strictly positive pace. Clock seconds must be from 00 to 59.
  3. Review the converted rate, exact quantity and clock pace per kilometre and mile.
  4. Copy the result or download a TXT report. Clear releases the main entered value and result; category shortcuts open other converters.

Why use this tool?

All calculations run locally in your browser. Your values are never uploaded and no input history is saved. Explicit units and assumptions make the result easier to check. No account or remote processing is needed.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

A few things worth knowing

How do I enter 5 minutes 30 seconds per kilometre?

Choose Minutes per kilometre, select Minutes:SS input, and enter 5:30. In decimal mode the equivalent is 5.5 min/km. A decimal 5.30 is not 5:30.

Can zero speed be converted?

Zero speed can convert to another speed unit. It has no finite pace, so a pace target shows an error. Zero pace is also rejected because it implies unbounded speed.

Are times a prediction for my next run?

No. This converts a constant speed or pace. Terrain, stops, fatigue and conditions are not modeled.

Are my values uploaded or saved?

No. Calculations stay in this browser page and inputs are not persisted. Only the theme preference is saved. Copy and report download happen only when you choose.
