Why use this tool?

All calculations run locally in your browser. Your values are never uploaded and no input history is saved. Explicit units and assumptions make the result easier to check. No account or remote processing is needed.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

A few things worth knowing

Does this show current exchange rates?

No. It has no rate feed or API. You must supply both the quote and its date. The tool does not verify whether a provider offers that rate.

What does the quote direction change?

With direct quote, 1 source unit equals the entered target rate and the amount is multiplied by the rate. With inverse quote, 1 target unit equals the entered source rate and the amount is divided by the rate.

Are fees or currency-specific decimal rules applied?

No. Fees, taxes, spreads and transfer costs are excluded. Choose decimal places yourself; rounding is half up. The exact amount before rounding is also shown.

Is the example rate real?

No. The example is a fictional quote dated 2026-01-01 to demonstrate the calculation. It is not presented as a market rate.

Are my values uploaded or saved?

No. Calculations stay in this browser page and inputs are not persisted. Only the theme preference is saved. Copy and report download happen only when you choose.
