Tool inputs are processed locally. Ordinary website delivery still involves your browser and the hosting provider.

Files and text are not uploaded for processing

TheBrowserBox’s application code processes selected files, entered text, passwords and model data in your browser. There is no file-upload or text-processing backend. Libraries and workers are served with the site rather than fetched from a third-party CDN. The site’s security policy blocks outbound script connections.

The application holds working inputs and results in the active page or worker. Clear, replacement, workflow switching and page exit release application references as appropriate to the tool. This is not a promise of physical memory erasure or removal of browser/operating-system copies.

What is saved on this device

The application stores a single theme preference, tbb-theme, in browser local storage. It does not create an account, application cookie, input history or model history. You can remove the preference using your browser’s site-data controls.

Your browser may separately remember form entries, permissions or downloaded files according to its own settings. Downloads and clipboard copies are created when you choose those actions and remain under your control outside the tool. Clearing a tool does not delete those external copies.

Website requests and hosting

Loading the site requests HTML, scripts, styles and other site assets. Cloudflare Pages delivers the website and can process ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested URL and browser headers, for delivery and security under its own policies. Tool inputs are not included in those requests by the application. This page does not set or guarantee the hosting provider’s log-retention period.

No advertising, tracking pixel or application analytics service is included. The application does not add third-party analytics beacons.

Camera, microphone, clipboard and links

Camera access is optional for scanning tools and requires your action and browser permission. Scanners do not request microphone audio. Use the tool’s Stop/Clear control or your browser’s permission controls to end or revoke camera access.

Audio Recorder requests microphone access only when you choose Start recording and grant browser permission. Captured samples stay in memory on the active page until cleared, replaced or released on page exit. Pause keeps the microphone open while omitting paused samples; Stop saves the take locally and ends microphone capture. Clear discards the take and ends capture. Recordings are not uploaded, and they persist as downloaded files only when you choose Download.

Webcam Test requests camera video only after Start, without audio or recording. Microphone Test and Audio Spectrum request microphone access only when you explicitly choose their microphone input and start. They analyse levels locally without speaker monitoring or uploading. Stop, a hidden document, workspace switching or page exit releases active camera/microphone tracks. Pending permission attempts are invalidated, and late streams are stopped.

Camera Tools request video only after Start camera. Mirror, snapshot, filter, document and photo-booth captures stay in the active page until reset, replaced, switched or released on exit. Timelapse retains a bounded local JPEG frame sequence and creates a ZIP only through the local tool; it is not a cloud recording. Motion detection compares local frames only during the active session, with optional generated alert audio and no microphone capture or remote alert. Hiding the page stops capture and optional sound; completed captures can still be downloaded from the active page.

Music & Learning tools synthesize instrument sounds locally and retain practice records only in the active page. Instrument Tuner requests microphone audio only after Start and browser permission, analyses short frames locally without recording or speaker monitoring, and releases tracks and workers on Stop, hidden document, switching or exit. Other music tools do not request microphone access. Playback stops on hiding or leaving, and optional session JSON downloads contain observations/settings rather than recorded audio.

Keyboard, mouse and touch tests observe events only in their dedicated test areas. Device and screen observations remain in the active page; reports download only when chosen. These tests do not scan installed hardware or retain interaction histories.

Clipboard actions occur when you choose to copy. External reference links and optional decoded-link buttons navigate only when you choose them; the destination website has its own privacy practices. TheBrowserBox does not automatically open a scanned link.

Interaction, supplied data and workspace transfers

Typing and interaction tools handle input in their labelled test areas; they do not record global keystrokes or mouse activity. Browser information, practice results and locally supplied analytics exports are processed in the active page. There is no uploaded leaderboard, live traffic lookup or installed-hardware scan.

Workspaces use one active interface at a time. Switching, Reset and Close release its active tasks and working state. No inputs or results transfer automatically. Some workspaces offer an explicit handoff of a supported current result; those transfers remain inside the browser.

Bookmarks are managed by your browser. Our bookmark reminders do not automatically save a bookmark, access your bookmark list or report whether you saved the site. Counts describe the published catalog; shared tools are counted once and workspaces are listed separately.

No public-IP lookup, external speed-test service or advertising integration is currently enabled. If an external service is added, its data use should be described here before activation. Stopping camera or microphone capture does not necessarily remove a permission remembered by your browser; you can revoke it through site settings.

Contact and feedback email

Feature-request, suggestion and contact links open your email application addressed to mail.browerbox@gmail.com. No message is sent automatically. If you choose to send an email, its contents and your sender information are handled by your email provider and the recipient’s Gmail service; this is separate from local tool processing. Include only what you want to share. The website has no embedded contact form or email-tracking script.

Private processing does not certify an output

Each tool documents its supported formats, browser requirements and accuracy limits. Local processing is a privacy property, not a guarantee that a generated file or calculation is suitable for every purpose. Keep originals and review results before sharing them.
