How to use Add Watermark to PDF
Choose an unencrypted PDF up to 50 MiB and 500 pages. Its filename, size and pages appear locally.
Select pages using thumbnail checkboxes or ranges. Enter one line of watermark text and choose a built-in font and color.
Adjust size, opacity, angle, position and margin with sliders or exact values. Review the draft placement; Show original page hides the draft on the large preview.
Click Apply watermark and inspect the actual generated PDF. Download after reviewing placement. Changing settings clears the previous result.

Why use this tool?
Your PDF and watermark text are never uploaded to any server. A self-hosted PDF library adds text locally inside a cancellable browser worker, without converting pages into images. No account, remote processing or persistent PDF history is needed.
Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.
A few things worth knowing
Does this tool support logos or repeated tiled watermarks?
This version adds one text watermark per selected page. Image/logo overlays and tiled watermarks are not included. Choose Helvetica, Times or Courier with optional bold; built-in fonts support Latin text, while emoji and most non-Latin scripts are unsupported.
Why can the draft look slightly different from the output?
The fast working preview uses a browser font approximation. Apply watermark to render the actual PDF with its embedded font in Generated result mode. Text is automatically shrunk to keep its rotated bounds inside the visible page; margins also shrink on very small pages.
Can I watermark rotated or cropped pages?
Yes. Positioning follows the visible crop region in its displayed orientation. Unselected pages remain in the output. Original page sizes, content, ordering and rotation settings are retained without rasterizing.
What files and limits are supported?
One unencrypted PDF up to 50 MiB and 500 pages, with output up to 100 MiB and a 30-second processing limit. Interactive forms and signature fields are unsupported. Stop discards partial results. Document-level metadata, bookmarks, attachments and signatures are not preserved as a new document; page annotations may be copied.
Does a watermark protect or redact my PDF?
No. It is a visible label added above content, and may be removable. It does not encrypt the PDF, prevent copying, erase underlying content or securely sanitize the document.
