A few things worth knowing

How is the result calculated?

Tip = bill × tip rate / 100. Each share = (bill + tip) / people. Optional rounding always rounds the share upward.

What assumptions and limits apply?

Use one currency and the bill amount you wish to tip on. Without upward rounding, displayed equal shares can leave a cent-level remainder. Tax treatment and local tipping customs are not inferred.

Are results exact?

Decimal arithmetic uses exact fractions. Currency displays round to two decimals; exact unrounded values are included where relevant. Date calculations use whole Gregorian calendar days. Results are estimates under the stated assumptions.

Are my inputs uploaded or saved?

No. Inputs are processed locally and not persisted. Only the theme preference is stored. Copy and report downloads happen when you choose them.
