QR Tools

QR Studio

Create and customize QR codes, generate batches, arrange print sheets, scan and inspect contents, and work with barcodes in one private workspace. Move results between steps without downloading and reopening files.

Your content stays on your device Free, with no account
Create. Customize. Print. Read. One workspace · all on your device
Shared QR style · applies to single and batch codes

No file selected.

Up to 5 MiB, 12 MP and 8,192 px per side.

No logo. A logo forces High error correction; downloads require a successful local scan check.

Choose a workflow. Your content stays on this page.

Static codes contain your content directly. Anyone who sees a WiFi code can read its password. Calendar timed events use UTC.

YOUR QR CODE

Choose your content, then generate a code.

Nothing generated yet.

Colors require dark modules, a lighter background and at least 4.5:1 contrast. A local decoder must read the exact encoded content before downloads are enabled. Still test the final printed code on your phone.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use QR Studio

  1. Choose Create & customize, Batch codes, Print sheets, Scan & inspect or Barcodes.
  2. Enter your content and shared QR style. Optional logos automatically use High correction. Generate codes and wait for the local scan check.
  3. Pass a generated code or batch directly into print sheets, or inspect its contents. Scanned or pasted content can be explicitly reused in a new code.
  4. Download PNG, SVG, ZIP, calendar ICS, print PDF or decoded TXT as appropriate. Clear studio releases local content and results.

Why use this tool?

Your content and images are never uploaded to any server. QR generation, logo normalization, scan checks, barcode decoding and print PDF creation all happen locally with self-hosted libraries. Explicit handoffs keep results within the same page, without tracking redirects, accounts, remote APIs or persistent input storage.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

A few things worth knowing

What is included in QR Studio?

Single QR codes for URLs, text/raw content, WiFi, vCard contacts, email, SMS and calendar events; shared colors, correction, size and optional logo; batch PNG/SVG ZIPs; styled PDF print sheets; QR and Code 128/EAN-13 image or camera scanning; QR content inspection; barcode generation; and EAN/UPC/GTIN check-digit calculation or validation. The standalone tools remain available for focused tasks.

How do connected workflows work?

A generated single code or batch can be passed directly into print layout with its current colors and logo. Single content can be inspected. Scanned or pasted content can be explicitly transferred to Create as raw text, preserving its exact payload, or to the barcode generator when in barcode mode. Editing QR style invalidates generated QR results and sheets; changing print settings invalidates only the PDF. No file transfer between servers is involved.

Do colors and logos affect scanning?

Yes. QR Studio requires dark modules over a lighter background with at least 4.5:1 contrast, preserves a quiet zone and uses High error correction when a logo is present. Each generated QR must decode locally to its exact content before it becomes downloadable. This check is not a guarantee across phones, printers or paper; test the final code. Logos are normalized to a bounded square PNG. Choose a smaller logo if checking fails.

What are the limits?

Single payloads: 1,800 UTF-8 bytes, subject to QR capacity and the selected correction level. Batches: 50 entries, 1,200 bytes per entry and 30 MiB combined image/vector output; ZIP up to 32 MiB. QR images: 512 or 1,024 pixels. Logos: 5 MiB, 12 MP and 8,192 pixels per side, static PNG/JPEG/WebP. Print layouts: A4 or Letter, 25/35/45 mm code width, up to 20 copies each and 200 codes total; PDF up to 50 MiB. Dense symbols may require larger print widths.

How do calendar codes work?

Timed events use explicitly entered UTC values. All-day dates include the selected last day; their encoded end date is exclusive. QR Studio offers an ICS download for calendar-form results. Scanner support varies. Reusing scanned calendar content as raw text preserves its existing bytes rather than recreating or changing its dates.

Does scanning open links or connect to WiFi?

No. Contents and recognized fields are displayed as inert text. No URL is visited, script executed, message sent or network joined automatically. WiFi passwords are collapsed in the field summary, but remain readable in raw content and downloads. Camera use is optional and needs browser permission. It stops on success, leaving the scan workflow, clearing or hiding the page.

Are generated QR codes dynamic or encrypted?

No. They are static codes that contain your content directly, without tracking redirects or a subscription. They do not expire by themselves, but a linked resource can become unavailable. Anyone with access can read the content, including passwords. Batch manifests and decoded TXT files also contain the original contents.

Can I stop processing or clear my data?

Cancel discards pending output. Clear studio stops camera scanning, invalidates pending operations, clears content and generated results, releases logos and revokes application-held object URLs. Leaving the page also performs cleanup. Inputs are not saved in browser storage. Already downloaded files remain on your device.
