Up to 128 MiB per file; decoded audio up to 256 MiB (about 23 min mono / 11½ min stereo). Formats depend on your browser's decoder. Working audio and WAV exports use 48 kHz.

Load audio to choose a section.
Drag across the waveform to select a section, or use the part list to select an existing part. Click the waveform to seek without changing cuts. Refine it with Start / End handles, then Play part. In manual mode, double-click the waveform to add a cut; drag the numbered cut handles to move boundaries. Handles support arrow keys (0.01 s, Shift 1 s) and Home/End. The list below also provides exact editing.

Split settings
The last part contains the remainder. At most 30 nonempty parts.
Up to 29 interior cuts. Commas, spaces or new lines; sorted automatically. Times snap to working samples. Duplicate or endpoint cuts reject.
Load audio to plan parts.
Selected part boundaries
Moving an interior boundary also changes its neighbor so no audio is lost. The first start and final end remain fixed. Equal/interval boundaries are automatic until you switch to Manual.
All parts together cover the entire source, with no overlaps or missing samples. This is hard-cut PCM splitting; no silence detection or fades.
ACTUAL GENERATED PARTS
Preview and download
Create WAV parts to preview the actual output.
48 kHz · signed 16-bit PCM WAV · original mono/stereo channel count. The browser may resample input. This is not bit-perfect compressed-file splitting. WAV/ZIP can be larger than the source. Metadata/artwork are omitted; out-of-range samples are clipped and reported. Each selected generated part must load before its download enables.
A FEW SIMPLE STEPS
How to use Audio Splitter
Choose or drop an audio file, or load the generated stereo sample. Wait for local decoding and the Ready status.
Choose a part count, an interval, or manual cut times. In manual mode double-click the waveform to add cuts and drag the numbered handles to adjust them.
Click a planned part and use Play, Pause/Resume and Stop to audition it. The highlighted source range shows the planned part.
Create WAV parts and ZIP. Choose a generated part to listen to its actual audio, then download that WAV or the complete ZIP. Editing the split plan clears obsolete results.

Why use this tool?
Your audio is never uploaded to a server. Browser decoding, waveform planning, WAV encoding and ZIP creation happen locally, with self-hosted code and no account or audio history.
Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.
A few things worth knowing
How do the three split methods work?
Equal parts divides working samples as evenly as possible; part lengths differ by at most one sample. Every N seconds uses nearest-sample boundaries and includes the remainder in the last part. Manual cuts accept interior seconds, sort them and reject duplicate sample boundaries. All methods preserve every source frame exactly once across at most 30 parts.
How long can my audio be?
Input files may be up to 128 MiB, mono or stereo. The decoded 48 kHz float buffer is bounded to 256 MiB, which is about 23 minutes mono or 11½ minutes stereo. Available browser/device memory can impose a lower practical limit, especially during WAV and ZIP creation. Missing initial duration metadata falls back to decoding; unsupported files are rejected.
Are MP3 files split without re-encoding?
No. Browser decoding may resample the input to 48 kHz. Outputs are 16-bit PCM WAV, preserving the mono/stereo channel count. Original compressed frames, tags and artwork are not copied. ZIP uses stored WAV files, not extra lossy audio compression. Clipped out-of-range sample counts are reported per part.
Are previewed source parts the actual downloads?
The waveform and Play part controls audition the planned source region. After generation, the separate Generated part player loads the actual WAV output. The selected WAV download enables after its metadata loads; the ZIP contains all generated parts.
Can I remove silence or automatically add fades?
This tool makes hard cuts at explicit working-sample boundaries. It does not detect silence, find musical beats or add crossfades. Cuts can click at waveform discontinuities; listen to the generated parts.
