PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Why use this tool?

Generate passwords locally without submitting a password request to a server. Results remain masked until you reveal them; clearing or leaving the active tool releases the input and output references.

Tool inputs stay in your browser. Only your theme preference is saved on this device.

A few things worth knowing

How does this tool work?

Generated with crypto.getRandomValues and unbiased rejection sampling. Requiring each group samples uniformly from passwords meeting that rule. No download is offered for generated passwords; copying places them on your system clipboard.

Are inputs uploaded or saved?

No. Processing uses local browser JavaScript and workers. Inputs are not stored, logged, placed in URLs or sent to external services. Clipboard or downloads occur only when you choose.

What happens when I clear or leave?

Input and result references are released and any active worker is terminated. JavaScript cannot guarantee physical memory erasure or remove screenshots, copied clipboard data or downloads. Clear those separately if needed.

Does this verify safety?

No tool can guarantee security of a device, a password or a file. Strength is a local model estimate; file hashing verifies bytes against a supplied digest. Encryption protects compatible text under its stated format and passphrase assumptions.
